Long story short, I need to write a 3-5 page essay and the assigemt is "design a document that outlines the technology needed at each company to connect their unique information to the website" "Specify network components that each company would need to enable customers to access and scheduling" The companies are using the same scheduling and database softwares. I just need a reliable source to learn about this, if you could comment a few links, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've been surfing around and having a hard time finding what I'm looking for.

Is it as simple as setting up area networks, using routers, switches, and setting up security ?
